What is a Hybrid?

A Hybrid VPS solution from Server Complete is perfect for those who want more than a traditional VPS can offer, but do not want the expense of a dedicated server. Our Hybrid services are essentialy a VPS with a massive amount of resources. Unlike a traditional VPS node with roughly 20 virtualized servers, a Hybrid node is strictly limited to four instances on any particular hardware node. That means that you will have 5 times the processing power and much better overall performance.

Why a Hybrid?

A Hybrid VPS is perfect for users who need the freedom of a VPS or dedicated server at a much lower cost. A Hybrid contains the power and options of a dedicated server, but costs much less. Outperforming the entry level dedicateds, a Hybrid will allow your resource intensive applications to have plenty of room to grow.

OpenVZ Server Virtualization

OpenVZ is container-based virtualization for Linux. OpenVZ creates multiple secure, isolated containers (otherwise known as VEs or VPSs) on a single physical server enabling better server utilization and ensuring that applications do not conflict. Each container performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone server; a container can be rebooted independently and have root access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries and configuration files.

Server Complete's Hybrid Servers were just what we needed. And since upgrading from a regular VPS, we couldn't be happier. We have more room to grow, more cpu power, more RAM and more bandwidth. The speeds are excellent and SC's support and customer service has been personal, helpful, and reliable. Daniel and his team have always been there when we needed them and have gone out of their way to be helpful. Their responses are never curt, never canned, and always informative. I have used many providers in my 10 years on the web, but few have been such a pleasure to work with as Server Complete.
